What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser. Local storage and similar browser storage (such as IndexedDB) work in a related way: they let a site keep data on your device. We use both, and this page refers to them together as "cookies and similar technologies".
How we use them
- Essential: keep you signed in, protect against forged requests and support security. SukuuHub cannot work without these.
- Offline and sync: store the school data you can access, and your pending changes, on your device so you can keep working with no internet. This data syncs to our servers when you reconnect.
- Preferences: remember choices such as display settings, so you do not have to set them again.
- Performance and analytics: help us understand how the website is used and find errors. We only use these in ways that do not identify individual students.
We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell data collected through cookies.
Third-party services
Some pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which may involve your browser contacting Google’s servers. Our hosting, error-monitoring and analytics providers may also set their own cookies or similar identifiers when they are used on our site. Their handling of data is described in their own policies.
Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will stop you signing in. Clearing site data on a device that has unsynced offline changes will delete those changes, so reconnect and let SukuuHub sync before you clear anything.
Look for "Cookies and site data" in your browser’s privacy settings (in Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge). From there you can see which sites have stored data and remove it.
Shared devices
If you use a computer that other people use, sign out when you finish so your school’s data is not left in the browser. Your school administrator can help if you are unsure.
Changes to this policy
If we start using new kinds of cookies, we will update this page and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first.
