Terms of Service

Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you (or the school you represent) and Emmaktech Networks, the company behind SukuuHub ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using SukuuHub you accept these terms. If you sign up for a school, you confirm you have authority to bind that school.

The service

SukuuHub is a school management platform for student records, attendance, exam results, fees, staff, parent access and notifications, with offline use and automatic sync. We may improve, change or retire features over time. If we remove something important, we will give notice.

Accounts and access

• Give accurate information when you register and keep it up to date.
• Keep your login details private. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• Each staff member should use their own account, with the role-based access appropriate to their work.
• Tell us quickly if you suspect unauthorised access.

School responsibilities

The school is the controller of the student, parent and staff data it enters, and is responsible for:

• having the right to collect and use that data, and giving any notices or obtaining any consents required by law, including for children’s data;
• making sure the data it enters is accurate and that only authorised staff can access it;
• sending SMS and other notifications only to people who should receive them;
• following Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) and any education regulations that apply to it.

Plans and billing

• Plans, features and prices are shown on our Pricing section and are stated in Ghana cedis (GHS).
• Paid plans are billed per student per term. The Starter plan is free for up to 50 students.
• A one-time setup fee, currently between GHS 200 and GHS 500, may apply for data migration support. We will tell you the amount before you agree to it.
• Where a free trial is offered, you will not be charged until it ends. You can cancel before then.
• You can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current term, and fees already paid for a term are not refunded unless we agree otherwise or the law requires it.
• We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice before your next billing term.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• break the law or use SukuuHub to harm, harass or discriminate against anyone;
• upload malicious code, or try to probe, disrupt or bypass the platform’s security;
• access data you are not authorised to see, or resell or share access to the service without our permission;
• use the SMS features for spam or unsolicited marketing;
• copy or reverse engineer the platform except where the law allows it.

We may suspend an account that breaks these rules, and will try to contact you first where it is safe to do so.

Your data

Your school’s data belongs to your school. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide and support the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export your data at any time, and we will help you obtain a copy if you close your account.

Offline use and sync

SukuuHub saves changes on your device when you are offline and syncs them when you reconnect. You are responsible for keeping your devices secure and for reconnecting regularly so that data is backed up. If the same record is edited on two devices while offline, the sync process will resolve the conflict according to the rules built into the product, and we cannot guarantee that every edit is kept.

Availability and support

We work to keep SukuuHub available, but the service depends on networks and third parties we do not control. We may take it offline for maintenance, and we do not promise uninterrupted access. Support is provided according to your plan.

Intellectual property

We own SukuuHub, including its software, design and branding. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it while your account is active. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of either party’s intellectual property.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using SukuuHub and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, do not pay fees owed, or if we must by law. On closure, we handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

Warranties and liability

We provide SukuuHub with reasonable care and skill, but to the extent the law allows, we provide it "as is" and do not promise that it will be free of errors. Schools should check important records such as report cards and fee balances before relying on them.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profit or loss of goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana. We will try to resolve any dispute through good-faith discussion first. If that fails, the courts of Ghana have jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we will give at least 30 days’ notice by email or in the app. Continuing to use SukuuHub after the change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
